On Walden’s Pond - The Art of Isolation by Brian Turner
Presented by:Galerie Old Chelsea
Galerie Old Chelsea is pleased to present the watercolour paintings of Brian Turner. Turner has won many awards for his watercolours and recently won the Canadian Landscape Award at the Society of Canadian Artists’ 52nd Open International Juried Exhibition.
In the 1800’s Walden’s Pond became immortalized in American folklore when Henry David Thoreau lived in creative isolation for 2 years, 2 months and 2 days. His self-imposed isolation produced masterpieces of creative thought and insight. Brian Turner decided to use this Covid period to refine his watercolour skills even further and the resulting work is quite astonishing.
We invite you to see these amazing works and experience Brian Turner’s artistic journey as he immersed himself in creative isolation with his watercolour brushes through these last two years.
Galerie Old Chelsea fully respects sanitary precautions and if desired, we also encourage private visits on Wednesdays by appointment by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling 819 827 4945 during opening hours.
