Natural Silk Dyeing Workshop

Learn the basics of natural dyeing and paint a beautiful landscape of colour on a rolled-hem silk habotai scarf (8” x 54”) with guest artisan Andrea Belcham (Renard Et Fleur (link is external)). From scouring to mordanting, participants will learn all they need to know to create a wearable piece of art using natural dyes including dried marigold flowers, logwood bark, onion skins, and more. Light refreshments will be served and a guided tour of the heritage house will be provided. It is recommended that participants bring a water bottle.
